MODENAS Deepens Z15GT Owner Dialogue Through Northern Region Teh Tarik Session

PERMATANG PAUH, 15 August 2026 – Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn. Bhd. (β€œMODENAS”), a member of the DRB-HICOM Group, brought Z15GT owners closer to the teams behind the product and ownership experience through its Northern Region Teh Tarik Session (TTS).

Held at De’ Pauh Garden Restaurant & Cafe, the gathering formed a key engagement component of a two-day Z15GT community programme organised in conjunction with Round 4 of the PETRONAS MAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship 2026.

More than a conventional community dinner, the programme combined practical product sharing, open dialogue with owners, interactive activities and engagement with participating Cub Prix racing teams.

A Community Gathering with Purpose

The evening brought together Z15GT owners from the Central and Northern regions, pillion passengers, MODENAS representatives and members of the motorsports community within a relaxed and informal setting.

Registration commenced at approximately 8.00pm after Maghrib, followed by dinner and the main engagement programme at approximately 8.40pm.

Their participation gave owners access to representatives across product quality, development, after-sales service, sales and marketing within one shared community environment.

The Northern Region gathering brings Z15GT owners, MODENAS representatives and racing teams together within one shared community environment.

Direct Access Across MODENAS Teams

The main programme featured a sharing session by the MODENAS R&D team covering motorcycle care, maintenance, product knowledge and selected aspects of the Z15GT’s development.

Instead of a formal presentation, the session adopted an open-floor format that allowed owners to raise questions, seek clarification and share their experiences directly with the relevant MODENAS representatives.

The approach gave owners access to teams involved across the product and customer journey while allowing MODENAS to hear first-hand perspectives from those using the Z15GT in everyday conditions.

One owner described the opportunity simply:

β€œThe best part was having the opportunity to engage directly with the wider MODENAS team and share our views in an open and welcoming setting.”

Listening to Real Ownership Experiences

The discussion covered practical topics including motorcycle care, maintenance practices, after-sales support and the wider ownership experience.

Relevant feedback shared during the session was acknowledged and recorded for further consideration by the respective MODENAS teams.

The open format allowed the conversation to move beyond general product information, giving owners the confidence to ask specific questions while helping MODENAS better understand their expectations and real-world experiences.

Keeping the Community Engaged

Approximately six pop quiz rounds and six lucky draws were conducted throughout the evening, creating a balance between the technical discussion and lighter community interaction.

MC Tajam Racing Team Principal Nizam and one of the team’s riders present prizes to the pop quiz and lucky-draw winners.

Prizes included EMOS lubricants and coolant, a motorcycle helmet, tyres, a motorcycle basket, a carrier box and other motorcycle-related items.

The activities maintained the energy of the programme while encouraging more members of the community to participate throughout the session.

Connecting Owners with Motorsports

Approximately 25 riders and personnel from Raynorton Motorsport, MC Tajam Racing Team and DF Racing Team attended the gathering.

The presence of the teams at the TTS strengthened the connection between everyday Z15GT ownership and the motorcycle’s participation in competitive motorsports. It also gave owners an opportunity to engage with the riders and personnel away from the race-day environment.

Supporting the Wider Community Journey

To support owners travelling from outside the Northern Region, MODENAS arranged a one-night stay at Cu Om’s Homestay in Juru for approximately 30 participants on 15 August.

After checking out the following morning, the group continued its community journey with lunch at Kak Sue Kitchen before riding together to Stadium Negeri Pulau Pinang for Round 4 of the Malaysian Cub Prix.

The coordinated journey extended the camaraderie of the Teh Tarik Session into the following day’s convoy and race activities.

Building Closer Owner Relationships

The Northern Region TTS demonstrated how an informal gathering can become a meaningful platform for product education, owner feedback and closer engagement between MODENAS and its riders.

By bringing owners together with representatives from Quality Assurance, R&D, Service, Sales, Marketing and the racing teams, the session created a more direct connection between product development, real-world ownership, customer support and MODENAS’ motorsports involvement.

MODENAS will continue exploring opportunities to engage Z15GT owners through community activities that encourage knowledge-sharing, constructive dialogue and stronger relationships across the ownership journey.
